Sandi Bell, the founder and President of EMPOWWORD is a highly respected expert with over 30 years experience in the areas of human rights, anti-racism and equality. Through both her employment and volunteer pursuits Sandi has been a student and educator working with others to improve the welfare of those who experience the “isms” (such as racism, sexism, ableism, ageism, etc.) that continue to exist in our society. Sandi is regularly sought-out based on her reputation, knowledge of, and sensitivity to Canada's diverse communities and the challenges they face.
As a female, an individual of African-Canadian and Aboriginal-First Nations heritage, as well as a person with a physical disability, Sandi’s passion for these issues are both professional and personal.
